Summer Lovin' & Livin'

Summer is just rolling along and almost over! I have been having lots of fun (I think) with my kids this summer....hope they agree! I really love the lifestyle of summer...easy breezy...not as many deadlines or "rules". However...not much of a breeze this summer! It has been HOT and MUGGY!
We have been to the beach again, had birthday's and baseball tournaments in the DOG DAYS OF Summer heat, Fished, Crabbed, endured a CRAZY  power outage, held a Craft-tastic Art Camp, and enjoyed a few Lazy Day's of Summer! I'd say we've had an active summer!

I'm a little sad that it has been SOOO hot and humid this summer! We haven't been able to enjoy our backyard Movie Nights like we usually do! Too hot! We have only done one movie all summer!!! I think it will be getting plenty of use this Fall...I hope!

Mini Vaca and Blog Break

I took the kids to the beach for a little 2 day Mini Vacation. It was fun! A lot less packing and lugging with a 2 day trip! Its amazing how much 'less' stuff you need than you actually take!

This is also my week for Craft-Tastic Art Camp, so I will be back next week with a Monday Instagram recap!

Today is also this Incredible little guy's birthday! Oh, how I have been blessed!!!!! The passion of 100 men, the strength of 1000 and a heart bigger than the moon!!! LOVE this boy!!!

Lily was a wee bit jealous that I was taking a picture with someone - anyone - other than HER!! I loved the picture of Hayden, even with the bunny ears. My ABSOLUTE pet peeve of any picture!!!!

20 days of Crazy

It has been 20 days since my last post...sounds like I belong at a meeting....

Within those 20 days, I have had: Broken bones, Awards Ceremonies, Baseball tournaments, Hospital stays, Formal Dances, Art show debut's, Birthdays, Concerts, and a Death to keep me busy. Quite frankly...most of those took place within a 4 day span!

This could literally be the longest blog post in history! But...Here is a brief recap (in order)....and a little more of a focus on the Birthday part!

My GORGEOUS, BEAUTIFUL, SWEET....AMAZING daughter turned 16 last week. I planned a surprise party - actually 2 surprises - for her and managed to pull them both off without her KNOWING anything! It was awesome!!!!

This child has brought me so much joy, frustration and love. I can't even begin to share with you how much she has made grow as a parent and a adult. I was a baby in the real world myself when I had her...22! Freshly married and still trying to make EVERYTHING perfect! We have grown together over the past 16 years.
I thought she was the most beautiful baby I had ever seen, and I still think she is beautiful! Gorgeous.... from the inside of her heart to the beautiful blonde hair!
I have a little photo collage that I did and posted on Facebook for her. And I HAVE to share the surprise video! It is hysterical! Just turn down the volume a wee bit....

And at the end of a very beautiful Birthday - there was a loss.....

My Grandfather passed away, 20 days short of his 87th Birthday.
